Pharmacy automation became a consideration at St. Jesus Pharmacy when the prescription volume reached 400 per day. Owner Rasik Vikani, R.Ph., found the upsurge difficult to monitor and he began to worry that with drastically increased volume, errors were going to be made.
According to Vikani, he heard other pharmacists talking about pharmacy automation as the way to gain confidence about dispensing accuracy. After doing some research and looking for alternatives to help alleviate his anxiety related to possible errors, he decided upon implementing the ScriptPro SP 200 robot. Vikani says,

His only regret about pharmacy automation? Vikani says,
“I only wish I had gotten the system five years earlier. The technology makes this job a whole lot easier for the pharmacist. I can sleep at night because I feel more confidence in our dispensing process.”
