Increase Productivity with ScriptPro’s Rx Paperwork Interface and Rx Paperwork Printer for the SP Central Workflow System

In addition, our Rx Paperwork Printer is fully integrated with this interface to deliver the best quality printouts at a high-speed.

How does it work? ScriptPro captures the necessary paperwork information through the interface when a script is sent to SP Central Workflow. This information is stored until it is ready to be printed on preprinted or plain paper stock. If a Medication Guide is required for the drug, it will also be duplex printed in conjunction with the paperwork—saving time and eliminating the stress of searching for the correct paperwork and medication guides.

VA pharmacies can benefit significantly from our Rx Paperwork Interface because we integrate the Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA) with our system. Paperwork information is captured through the HL7 interface with VistA when a script is sent to SP Central Workflow. It is then printed from SP Central utilizing the same template and paper stock you are accustomed to using with VistA—or plain paper can be used.

Our system allows you to set custom options to indicate which step in the workflow is right for your pharmacy to print Rx Paperwork and Medication Guides. These custom options include:

• Fill/Batch – The Fill/Batch option allows the pharmacy technician to print paperwork and will save the pharmacist time by having paperwork collated and ready for review before it reaches the verification step.
• Verify/Batch – The Verify/Batch option gives the pharmacist flexibility to wait until after final verification to print, preventing wasted paper or incorrect paperwork.
• On Demand – Rx Paperwork can also be printed on demand by right-clicking a script and selecting the Print Rx Paperwork option.

In conjunction with our Rx Paperwork Interface, our specialized Rx Paperwork Printer is a high-speed laser printer that supports prescription paperwork printing for pharmacies. It prints up to 52 pages per minute to keep up with the workload of a busy pharmacy! The dual drawer printer capacity supports monograph labels for prescription paperwork printing as well as plain paper stock for report printing.
