Expanding Pharmacy, Supporting Community

For over 50 years, KC CARE Health Center has been a cornerstone of providing vital access to medical care to the underserved in the Kansas City community. The health center is a private, nonprofit, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with four locations throughout the urban core.

An important leap forward for KC CARE came in late 2015 when they determined that bringing pharmacy services in-house as part of their patient offerings was a top priority. They onboarded ScriptPro automation to help them maximize efficiency and safety, and to help track their 340B prescription volume.

By 2023, KC CARE had outgrown its primary community pharmacy space but still needed to continue expanding patient services. More space and technology were needed — and they needed more help.
