Robotic Inspection Camera

The Robotic Inspection Camera enhances pharmacy safety and efficiency by capturing and archiving high-resolution images of vial contents without adding complexity or slowing down production. This built-in imaging technology supports audit, verification and track-and-trace workflows, giving pharmacy staff greater visibility and control over dispensing operations.

Why It Matters

  • Verify Prescriptions from Anywhere – Access vial images remotely, whether you’re at the robot or off-site, providing greater flexibility and control.*
  • Increase Patient Safety – Strengthen verification processes with an additional layer of accuracy, reducing the risk of medication errors.
  • Simplify Audit Capability – Easily access archived images for track-and-trace reviews of all medications, including high-risk, high-security, and high-value medications.

How It Works
Captured images are automatically stored and easily accessible within ScriptPro Pharmacy Management System and robot* user interface. The system enables side-by-side comparison with ScriptPro’s proprietary Drug Database images, helping to quickly confirm dispensing accuracy. The image archive timeline is customizable to support your data retention needs.

Robotic Inspection Camera is another example of ScriptPro’s commitment to ongoing product enhancements and functionality for new and existing customers.

*Robotic Inspection Camera is not supported in CRS robots. Retrofittable into existing SP 50, SP 100, and SP 200 if equipped with VS25 label printers. Sato label printers can be exchanged with a VS25 label printer as part of a Robotic Inspection Camera retrofit. ScriptPro Pharmacy Management System (PMS) or remote access to the user interface is required to view Robotic Inspection Camera images away from the robot. Remote verification subject to regulatory requirements that can vary by jurisdiction.

Features and Benefits

  • Designed for both new installations and retrofits in SP 50, SP 100, and SP 200 vial fill robots
  • Simultaneously captures the vial content image and vial label barcode to ensure script synchronization
  • Barcode-driven confirmation enhances safety and accuracy
  • In-line image capture integrates seamlessly without disrupting vial movement or the robot’s workflow
  • Maintains production rate, accuracy, and uptime with no impact on performance
