Robotic Pharmaceutical Dispensing System

SP Unit Dispenser Mini (Mini SPUD) automatically loads, stores and delivers unit-of-use medications.

Based on dispensing instructions from the interfaced pharmacy computer system, Mini SPUD locates the correct medication from one of the product conveyors and delivers the item to the pharmacist for dispensing. The pharmacist scans the manufacturer’s barcode, confirms that the correct product has been dispensed and applies the label (including auxiliary labels) to the package.

Mini SPUD automatically loads products to reduce inventory management and eliminates pick-and-place dispensing errors. Approximately 400 unit-of-use medications can be stored in Mini SPUD for future dispensing.
